Thoughts on Success – Use Up Your Life!

Go Ahead and Use Up Your Life!

Here is one of those thoughts on success that's a classic:

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming—”Wow…What a Ride!” — Robert Wickman

The reason this quote is one of my favorites is because it talks about living a bold, well-invested life!

With this in mind, my beautiful wife Kathy frequently forwards me different thoughts on success that she runs across in her reading. Recently she shared this one with me and it caught my eye because it's so similar to the quote above.

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me'. — Erma Bombeck

Use Up Your Life

As we enter a new month, here are some great questions to ask yourself:

  • How am I investing my life?
  • Am I using all the talent that has been given to me or am I wasting it?
  • If my life ended today, could I stand before God and say, “I used up all the talent you gave me.”

I hope these simple thoughts on success encourage you to “live it forward” and invest your life well today!
