Thoughts on Success— Go Ahead and Use Up Your Life!
If you are a regular reader of our Make The Move Newsletter, you know one of the thoughts on success that I share often is the following quote:
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming—”Wow…What a Ride!” —Robert Wickman
The reason this quote is one of my favorite thoughts on success is because it boldly talks about living a life that is well invested, and it champions living a life that’s all in!
Well, Kathy (my amazing wife) frequently forwards me thoughts on success that she runs across. Here’s one that really caught my eye because it’s so similar to the quote above. It’s from Single Stone Studio, which looks like a great company.
As we enter a new month, here are some great questions to ask ourselves:
- How are we investing our lives?
- Are we using up all the talent we’ve been given or are we wasting it?
- If our lives ended today, could each of us individually stand before God and confidently say, “I used up all the talent you gave me.”
I hope these simple thoughts on success encourage and inspire you to “live it forward” and invest your life well today!
One way to make sure you are investing your life well is to discover your purpose so that you can live out your mission. I’m hosting the Discover Your Purpose teleseminar tonight at 8 PM EST, so I hope you’ll join me.
And even if you can’t join me live, be sure to register since a MP3 download of the workshop will be sent to all participants within 24 hours of the course so that they can keep the resource forever and listen to it whenever they like.
