True success requires encouragement.
Whether you are seeking success in your marriage, family, friendships, work, business, or personal development…encouragement will likely be needed.
This is especially true during the holiday season. Many people are struggling during this time of year — whether it's financially, family tension, or loss — which makes this season a great time to encourage others.
Don't Be Picky with Encouragement
The late Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A® and a true success story himself, gave great insight concerning the importance of encouragement when it comes to leading and serving alongside others.
He often asked leaders, “Do you know how you can tell if a person needs encouragement?”
His response was classic: “If the person is breathing, he or she needs encouragement!”
Be sure to encourage someone today! And don't be picky. Remember, if the person is breathing, he or she needs encouragement.

“Success” is a word that is thrown around quite a bit. Is real success making it to the top, earning a bunch of money, becoming famous, winning awards, or something else?
Success can include all the things listed above and more, but one major ingredient to real success is making a positive difference in the lives of others. As my friend Joe Martin once said, “I want to do well for myself in my career and finances while doing good for others.” That sounds like a winning strategy to me!
So how can you do well for yourself while making a positive difference in the lives of others? Check out this FREE RESOURCE to learn about seven characteristics of people who make a difference.
