If you’re anything like me, you believe words are powerful. That’s why I love finding great quotes I can strive to live by, and why I absolutely love sharing them with you! Powerful quotes can teach you how to be successful at your job, business, or personal life.

As we enter November and approach the end of the year, here are 7 “How To Be Successful” Quotes I have strived to live by this past year. Each has been very helpful. I hope they serve you as well as they have served me.

Hard work beats talent every time talent doesn’t work hard. — Tons of People Have Said This

What we believe in is evidenced by how we live, not just by what we say.  — Ken Davis

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will. — Vincent T. Lombardi

People fail forward to success. — Mary Kay Ash

Under promise, over deliver. — Tom Peters

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming—Wow…What a Ride! — Robert Wickman

Success is more permanent when you achieve it without destroying your principles. — Walter Cronkite

These quotes have helped me think more deeply about how to be successful in both my personal life and my professional life. Again, I hope they will serve you as well as they have served me.

I strive to live by Zig Ziglar’s quote, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”

    Great quote list Kent!

I’ve been going for Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly
    proclaiming—Wow…What a Ride! —Robert Wickman

For too long I’d say idly by the sidelines and watched as others have done things, wishing I could do certain things, and just being unhappy. Instead, by living in a What A Ride! kind of way, things are happening and I’m experiencing life.

Awesome, Joe. That might be my favorite “live it forward” quote of all time.

The “life is a journey” one! Oh yes, by far, this is one very cool “TAKE ACTION” quote! I see that in your life, Kent. You are definitely moving things around in life, and I look up to you so much for that brother! Thanks for being a great example of success.

Kent-Love a good quote, thanks for the post!!

Really like this one from John Maxwell: ” Nothing separates successful people from unsuccessful people more than how they use their time” and this one from Peter Drucker: “Plans are only good intentions unless they immediately degenerate into hard work”.

Really enjoying your Goal Getting E book as i map out a course for 2013!
